Branding two as one. 

 

Upwork was born out of the Elance-oDesk merger. And to get a brand born from the category's established challengers noticed, it had to declare a new vision of how the world of business could work.

This was the second time I got to work with Nate Gagnon on a rebranding project. He had an insight to an ultimate truth, that ideas can't happen without people. In age of ideas as currency this insight became the brand wrapper. 

Part science, part DIY attitude, and a slew of talented people working as one proved to be the perfect visual language. Through the combination of diverse work places integrated together in a wall-less world, the brand became the facilitator of a seamless future of work getting done.
